I'm like an hour from Boston. The question isn't what should you do, it's where should you start! Check out the museums because they're fab, especially the Science museum. Also, Boston Public Library is sweet. Harvard Square is awesome, as is the Prudential Center.

You can't go to Boston without taking the Duck Tour either. They're these cute little bus/boat things that give a tour of the city. You'll start off on a typical tour bus looking thing, but eventually it will turn into a boat.

Also, go to Newbury street. It's eight blocks of shops and all things pretty.

also if you like seafood there's a place called No Name Restaurant that has excellent 'chowdah'. (15 Fish Pier St W)

also, just southwest of the downtown boston area is phoenix, arizona.
